Last bit of uni work for now!
This was fun, a complete boat design from intial drawing through to model testing. It's a 12m/36 ft racer cruiser boat built at 1:15 scale to fit in the box rules we had (800x30x1200mm) it's slightly longer than 800mm because of the bowsprit.
Inset pictures:
top - laying out balsa planks on the hull
Middle - 5:30 am on race day after 5 hours hand stitching the sails
Bottom - Race day, the boat was judged best all round performer!
Balsa, MDF, fiberglass, aluminum and sailcloth.
